It has been my task over the last few weeks to suss out the lightest way to get 5watts output from my radio for transmitting purposes using a solar charging system, its also handy to know that if you own a Solar Gorilla that you dont just have to charge Netbooks and Laptops you can charge & trickle charge an FT817 radio or any other 12v system be it a light system or shortwave radio.
